Lori Kershner
President

Lori Kershner, LMK Advocacy's President, brings great perspective and experience from her years working in the public sector. Prior to entering the private sector, Lori worked in various areas of government including the Ohio House of Representatives and the Office of the Secretary of State. Early in her career, Lori worked on a variety of political campaigns locally and statewide, building relationships across Ohio.

She was then hired by the Ohio House of Representatives where she worked as a legislative aide for the Chairman of the Health Committee. Following her work in the legislature, Lori lobbied on behalf of the influential Ohio State Medical Association representing 15,000 physicians to the General Assembly.

Lori then ran the Ohio practice of a large government affairs consulting firm for three years before starting LMK Advocacy in order to focus on Ohio government affairs consulting. Additionally, Lori has familiarity and success in grant writing, state incentive packages, grassroots advocacy and policy issues.

Lori has a BA in Political Science and Certificate in Political Communication from Ohio University. She is a member of the Ohio Lobbying Association and Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to Lori Kershner, LMK Advocacy has a strong network of business partners and affiliates who augment her work in the areas of grassroots, public policy and grant writing.

Shannon Strow
Government Affairs Manager

Shannon Strow, Government Affairs Manager, is a powerful asset to LMK Advocacy and brings years of experience and strong relationships in Columbus. Shannon is a dynamic and results-oriented advocate.

 

In her previous position as the Government Relations Coordinator at the Ohio Bankers League, Shannon played a pivotal role in advocating for the banking industry within the State and Federal governments. She spearheaded various initiatives, including expanding the Day at the Capitol event to engage up-and-comers within member organizations through the establishment of the Emerging Leaders Program. Additionally, Shannon managed the day-to-day operations of the Ohio BankPac, ensuring compliance, facilitating campaign materials, and encouraging members' active involvement in Pac giving. Through this work, she has fostered solid relationships with key legislators and their staff, which is a critical piece to effective government affairs work.

 

Shannon’s expertise extends to navigating legislative processes and regulatory environments at local, state, and federal levels, a benefit to all LMK Advocacy clients with work on all levels of government. She possesses outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, which have been instrumental in driving successful advocacy strategies.

 

She successfully advances the objectives of LMK Advocacy’s clients and contributes to the firm’s continued success through strategic advocacy efforts. With a proven track record of achieving results and a relentless drive to make a difference, Shannon is an asset to striving to make an impact in government affairs and advocacy for LMK Advocacy clients.

 

With a bachelor’s degree in political science from Otterbein University and a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University and a background in public policy and law, Shannon brings a wealth of experience to the table.

 

She is also a member of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, Ohio Lobby Association and Ohio Women in Government.
